Comments
In the first nine months this year Mercator recorded EUR 1.89 billion in revenue, which is 3.3% less than in the same period last year, and net profits of that Slovenian trade chain owned by Agrokor fell as well.In the first three quarters this year net profit of Mercator totaled EUR 8.2 m, which is about three-quarters less than in the same period 2015.The decline in revenue and profit is explained by Mercator through the fact that several shopping centers this year were closed for renovations. Revenue decreased due to sale of the company for production of coffee brand Santana, bakery Grosuplje and tourism sector M Holidays. In the first three quarters Mercator set aside 53.2 million euros for investments,
12% more than last year, mainly on reconstruction and furnishing of stores in
Slovenia and Serbia, for what it spent 58% of available funds.
