The construction of new production facilities is in progress on several locations in the municipality of Ruma. According to Sladjan Mancic, president of the municipality of Ruma, the construction of three factories, which will employ a considerable number of workers, is in progress, and the investors also find villages in the municipality of Ruma attractive for investments.

– The new Hutchinson factory will employ 400 workers, whereas the Nepalese Cinnovation Group is to hire 409 unemployed people. The new production facilities are to be put into operation in February or March. The local investor Rumekon, which is raising a production hall in the Rumska Petlja zone, will also employ new workers – Mancic explained.

The chairman of Ruma especially emphasizes that factories are being raised at an increased pace in villages as well, providing a perspective for continued life in them.

– There’s already a successful company in Platicevo, Cablex, and a sheep farm is being formed in Budjanovci, with an abattoir being planned for next year. The Italian company La Linea Verde will start building a vegetable and fresh salad processing factory in Dobrinci, where 100 workers are to be employed. What’s much more important is that many farms will have the opportunity of being subcontractors of this Italian investor under favorable conditions – Mancic emphasized.

The new municipality decision on disposing of and leasing building land has introduced two important new regulations. The first one is that investors interested in building land of over 20 hectares will be allowed to pay in installments, and the other one is 30% discount on one-off payments.

– This amendment has been introduced as an option. Not an obligation, then, but a possibility of reducing the price of land by 30% through a one-off payment. There are currently no request for buying land and paying in installments. However, the decision has been brought in line with the current regulations, providing the possibility of settling one’s liabilities in 24 installments, without reducing the price.
