Third tender of "Elektromreže Srbije" for procurement of transformers failed

The third of the last four tenders for purchase of transformers, announced by "Elektromreže Srbije", has failed due to incomplete bids and poor interest of the vendors. Only one bid was submitted on the tender announced on November 28, 2007, and that bid came from joint venture of Croatian "Končar" (former Rade Končar) and German"Siemens", but it was incomplete.

There were also some complaints lodged by, first of all, Chinese TBEA because the people from this company were of the opinion that the tender terms favorized one bidders to the detriment of the others. By the way, this joint venture of Croats and Germans got the job on the only successful tender in December 2006, as well as on partially unrevoked tender from June 2007. People in EMS say that there is nothing disputable in the terms, but they point out that these unsuccessful tenders represent a serious problem.
