Krusevac acquires land to be given to German investor – Kromberg & Schubert investing EUR 29 million

Representatives of the City of Krusevac and the Directorate for Property of the Republic of Serbia signed an agreement on transfer of ownership of the parcel on the Equestrian Club location, at the Old Airport, to the city on October 13. The City of Krusevac is to give the land to the future investor, Kromberg & Schubert.

The mayor of Krusevac, Dragi Nestorovic, said that the 1.4 ha parcel was a part of a larger parcel with an area of 6.2 ha given by the city to the investor permanently. – It’s what the city has obliged to do, and the accompanying infrastructure, which is also the city’s obligation, and everything necessary for the construction to star, for the realization of the projects and putting the future facilities into operation has been provided – Nestorovic said.

This way, he added, all the conditions have been met for the signing of an umbrella agreement, which should take place in Krusevac on October 21 in the presence of the prime minister, representatives of the government, the investors and representatives of the city.

By the decision of the government’s Economic Development Council, Kromberg & Schubert, whose arrival to Krusevac was announced in mid-2016, is one of the companies which stand to receive incentives meant for investors which will open new job positions.


According to the data cited in the letter of intent sent by the investor to the city, 18,000 m2 of production space will be built in the first stage, as well as 3,000 m2 of administrative space. In the five years of the first stage, a total of 2,500 workers will be employed, and the total investment will amount to nearly EUR 29 million.

In the second stage, to begin in 2022, the investor intends to expand the factory by an additional 12,000 m2 and employ an additional 1,500 workers, depending on the market developments and expenses incurred in the first stage
