Naftna Industrija Srbije (NIS) placed 13th with EUR 1.7 billion in profit, which is 18.2% less than in 2014, when the company placed 9th.
EPS Snabdevanje, which debuted on the list in 2014, now placed 16th. PE Elektroprivreda Srbije (EPS) placed 19th (20th in 2014) and FCA Serbia placed 22nd.
Mercator-S took the 39th spot, Srbijagas 47th (previously 54th), followed by Telekom Srbija in 48th place (previously 42nd).
Delhaize Serbia placed 68th (60th in 2014), EPS Distribucija 96th, and Yugorosgaz 98th.
The list, which has been published for nine years in a row, ranks non-finance SEE companies (Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Macedonia, Romania, Serbia and Slovenia) by their total profits in the fiscal year 2015.
For two years in a row, the Romanian car manufacturer Dacia, a branch of Renault, has placed first, with profits amounting to EUR 4.2 billion, followed by two Romanian branches of the Austrian OMV.
The corporate sector in the region started growing again in 2015, aided by increased economic activity, following several years of quiet recovery, SeeNews reports. The total profits of the 100 largest SEE companies rose to EUR 102.5 billion, which is around 2% more than in 2014 and slightly below the average economic growth of the region of 2.5%.
