Leading world managers arriving to Skoplje - Macedonia2025 Summit to be held on October 20 and 21

On October 20 and 21, Skopje will host the fifth Macedonia2025 Summit - a dynamic platform for sharing knowledge, where more than 40 top notch experts and highly ranked regional and global thought leaders discuss business, technology and leadership. The event is attended by more than 300 investors, entrepreneurs, executives and managers from more than 30 countries, to engage with like-minded individuals and companies.
In the previous years the Summit was attended by representatives of notable companies, organizations and financial institutions such as Motorola, Blackstone, Phillips, Boing, Cognizant, Nokia, Mind Tree, Kinross Gold Corporation, McKinsey & Company, Lufthansa, Wizz Air, Oracle, SAP, Panasonic, Société Générale, General Electric, Hatch, Redknee and many other.
The Summit has brought to the audience some of the most influential executives and business mentors from around the world, such as Harry Kraemer - former CEO of Baxter International and professor at the Kellogg School of Management, Unilever’s Chief Human Resources Office and Blackstone’s Portfolio Operating Partner, Sandy Ogg.
The Summit also featured renowned regional speakers such as Branko Bogunovic, Horwath, Croatia; Gazmend Kadriu, CEO of Union Bank in Albania; Mario Seric, tourism expert and owner of MarCon; Sonja Smuc CEO of the Managers’ Association of Slovenia, and many others.
Alexander Tolweth, Country manager of the Lufthansa Group for Albania, Bulgaria, Kosovo and Macedonia, who spoke at the Summit’s Gala reception, said the Summit "certainly was a world-class event".
– I have to admit did not expect from a small country such as Macedonia. I have been to many summits during my previous job in London and you can easily compete with these global events – Tolweth said.
This year’s keynote speaker is Guruduth Banavar, VP of IBM’s prestigious TJ Watson Research Center.
Banavar will present how technology helps us solve some of the world's biggest problems, including food, health, and the environment. Other keynote speakers are the Zdravko Pocivalshek, Slovenian Minister of economic development; Nika Gilauri, Former Prime Minister of Georgia; Karina Barnholt Klepper, Nordic council of ministries; Riccardo Monti, Former President of ICE Italian Trade Agency, Livio Stracca, European Central Bank; Michael Mizrahi, Azrieli college in Jerusalem; Marko Butkovic, European Space Agency, Germany; Shuichi Fukuda, Professor at Stanford University, Francesco Oddone, Independent consultant on European Smart City projects, etc.
The panelists are going to discuss how cities can become Smart; production and commercialization of bio-gas, bio-diesel and solar energy; tele-health, cooperation between humans and machines; electric vehicles; eco-houses; emotive engineering; natural resources; innovations in telecom; circular economy and much more.
