Cuprija to get 350 new job positions – Tibet Moda and Eurofiber to start producing within 15 days

Turkish and Chinese investors will create 350 new jobs in Cuprija and invest more than EUR 5 million in equipping the facilities by the end of the year.

By applying the final layer of asphalt, the first phase of the construction of the Cuprija Industrial Zone, financed by the Ministry of Economy in the amount of around RSD 70 million, has been completed.

– The Ministry has provided RSD 21 million for the second phase of construction and the public procurement procedure for those works is currently being completed. I expect the works to begin by the end of the year. This way, we will equip the zone with utilities and infrastructure. We will create the conditions for the investors to be provided with a greenfield location on which they can start building facilities immediately – explains Ninoslav Eric, the president of the municipality of Cuprija.

Tibet Moda, owned by the Turkish investor, will start producing on September 30, and the Chinese Eurofiber will start producing on October 10.

– Austria's Zumtobel and SDPR Jugoimport are also interested in investing in Cuprija. We will initiate the economic revival of Cuprija and the creation of new jobs together with local and foreign investors – Eric points out.
