RSD 30.7 billion in voluntary pension funds in mid-2016

Net assets of voluntary pension funds in Serbia at the end of the second quarter of 2016 amounted to RSD 30.7 billion, which is a growth of 3.6%, the National Bank of Serbia reported.

The NBS report says that the total payments amounted to RSD 738.8 million, that members withdrew RSD 302.3 million, whereas the yield amounted to RSD 649.2 million.

The funds' asset structure hasn't changed considerably. The government bonds made up 77.8% of the total assets, assets on custody accounts and fixed-term bank deposits made up 16.5%, and shares made up 5,3%.


As reported, the percentage of the funds' clients in the total number of employees is 9.7%. Most clients are male, around 60%, and the average age is around 45.

There are seven voluntary pension funds in Serbia.
