Tecnostrutture opens facility in Zrenjanin – Investment worth EUR 3.5 million

The production facility of the Italian company Tecnostrutture, in whose construction EUR 3.5 million was invested in, opened on Saturday, September 17, in the Southeast Ecka industrial zone in Zrenjanin.

The opening ceremony was attended by the ambassador of Italy to Serbia, Giuseppe Manzo, the president of the Italian province of Abruzzo, the mayor of the city of Francavilla al Mare, Antonio Luciani, the minister of economy at the Government of Serbia, Goran Knezevic, the deputy provincial secretary for economy and tourism, Pavle Pocuc, and the mayor of Zrenjanin, Cedomir Janjic.

Minister Knezevic said that Zrenjanin had been recognized as a good place to invest in, a beneficial and stimulating environment for starting a business with one of the best industrial zones in the Balkans.

The founder and CEO of Tecnostrutture, Giuseppe Verna, said that around twenty workers had already been selected and that they intended to employ around 70 people in the facility.

Tecnostrutture is a member of Edil Steel, a leader in the steel structure sector in the international market.

The Zrenjanin facility, as announced earlier, will produce steel structures for building bridges, airports, stadiums, large shopping malls and industrial facilities. The value of the investment is EUR 3.5 million, and most of the production in Zrenjanin will be exported. The investor has already announced further investments in the city in the amount of EUR 6 million. Tecnostrutture is the third large Italian company to operate in Zrenjanin, after Pompea Modital and Fulgar, which have operated in Bagljas and Southeast Elemir respectively since 2007.

The mayors of Zrenjanin and Francavilla al Mare signed on this occasion an agreement on strategic cooperation between the two cities.
