The company Industrial Park Belgrade (IPB) opened a new industrial hall with the area of 11,350 square meters in Simanovci on Wednesday, September 14.

Directors of IPB Stevan Rogic and Vukan Lainovic symbolically handed over the keys to the hall to the director of Milsped, Nikola Todorovic, as the company had rented the Simanovci facility, as well as the one built two years ago. The investment for the construction of the industrial hall, i.e. a logistics and distribution center, amounts to a total of EUR 4.5 million.

Stevan Rogic said that the company had completed the construction of the two industrial facilities within the planned deadline and announced that the construction of a third one would begin in the next few days.

The president of the Provincial Government, Igor Mirovic, said that 124,000 jobs had been created in Serbia from 2014 till 2016, nearly all of them in the commercial sector, as he said. According to him, this is the best indicator of the improvement of the general economic environment and the investment climate in Serbia.

– I am glad that, starting this evening, the number of 124,000 new jobs will increase by at least 130 new employees in IPB's new industrial hall – Mirovic said and emphasized that one the Provincial Government's priorities was the economic development of all municipalities in Vojvodina, especially those underdeveloped ones.

Mirovic added that Pecinci didn't belong to the group of undeveloped municipalities, but he also emphasized that those who worked hard should be helped. He finally said that the opening of the Simanovci facility was an incentive to work better and faster and for a quicker issuing of permits and implementation of investments.

The opening ceremony was attended by the ambassador of Slovenia, Vladimir Gasparic, who said that Serbia was an important partner to Slovenia, as confirmed by the fact that Slovenia invested EUR 1.2 billion in Serbia.

The president of the municipality of Pecinci, Dubravka Kovacevic Suboticki, said that it was a pleasure to have an investor such as IPB in Pecinci.
