Good business climate brings Indofood to Serbia – Salim Group considering investing in HR and IT

IndoAdriatic Industry, a licensed manufacturer of instant noodles of the Indomie brand, by authorization of PT Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbk, member of the Salim Group, has gotten, after nearly two years, its home in Indjija, which it plans to expand rapidly.
Anthony Salim, son of the owner of the Salim Group, Sudono Salim, is the third richest man in Indonesia. In 2015, the American magazine Forbes estimated his fortune to USD 5.4 billion.
When asked why Serbia has been chosen as the first spot for the Salim Group’s production in Europe, Salim says that the investment climate is very favorable and that the embassy here is highly active, providing them with support.
– As well, President Tomislav Nikolic follows a very good policy, which attracts business people. All of these are reasons why we have chosen Serbia – Salim adds.
Talking about their future plans, he says that they are dedicated to expanding their capacities and that there will be talk about the possibility of investing in university education. – The field of human resources is very important to us, not just in terms of hardware, but also the software infrastructure – he says.
– If you provide me with a good environment in the next 10 years, this will become a very important center – Salim emphasized.
The Indomie brand was formed in the 1970s and is sold in around 50 countries, including Australia, Japan, the United States of America and countries in the Middle East, Africa and the Western Europe. It owns around 30 factories, which produce more than 20 billion noodle packages a year.
