Leading company in field of Internet security "Grisoft" changed its name into "AVG Technologies"

"Grisoft", which developed large number of software products, announced that it was going to change the name into "AVG Technologies". Renaming will be applied to all offices all around the world - source company is now called "AVG Technologies NV", the company with the headquarters in Czech Republic is now "AVG Technologies CZ", the company settled in USA is now "AVG Technologies USA", and the company on Cyprus is now called "AVG Technologies CY".

The office of the company in Great Britain, which already operates under the name of AVG, will be known as "AVG Technologies UK Ltd".

All other contact and commercial data will remain the same, including "Grisoft" trade mark.

AVG brand is widely recognizable on Anti-Virus and Internet Security market. Recent research conducted in the USA showed that AVG was the third most recognizable Anti-Virus, behind "Norton/Symantec" and "McAfee", and it is one of the 20 most usually downloaded programs on CNet’s download.com site.

In the past few months, the company has been establishing presence of AVG on numerous international markets in order to ensure undisturbed moving to the new corporate identity.
