Following the successful first two Independent Aftermarket Conferences held in Belgrade in 2014 and 2015, the 3rd one will be held on October 20, 2016. It will be held in Bucharest under the sponsorship of FIGIEFA (International Federation of the Independent Automotive Aftermarket Distributors in Brussels). Hartmut Roehl, the president of FIGIEFA and GVA (German National Association of Aftermarket Traders), will preside over the conference.

Roehl believes that this will be a most important event for the fragmented Southeastern Europe market, and that it should become a traditional event. He believes that the conference will stimulate regional players to support and defend the rights of the automotive aftermarket and create a more stable cooperative environment for future development.

Like most industries nowadays, the automotive aftermarket faces problems, challenges, but also dynamic changes. The automotive industry is going through constant changes nowadays, changing the way the market works at its very core. Due to this, adaptability and innovativeness, development of new business models and activities in IAM are crucial to its continued functioning. This is a time of great challenges for the entire automotive industry. Each individual is expected to make a step forward, and quickly.

To the end of strengthening the bonds between its members and emphasizing the importance of the unfairly neglected independent aftermarket (with a potential of nearly EUR 6 billion in SEE), IAM Conference SEE will bring together leaders of all European traders and suppliers, so as to turn IAM into a more compact and recognizable industry.

Visitors will have the opportunity to:

– Expand their knowledge with the latest ideas in the field
– Make new business contacts and
– Share experiences and practices with the heads of the biggest aftermarket traders and industry representatives.
