Slovenia’s Port of Koper has signed a ten-year loan agreement with a one-year moratorium period in the amount of EUR 28 million with Banka Koper.

A part of the loan is meant for the construction of three reservoirs for liquid cargo at the second wharf, with a capacity of 20,000 cubic meters each. Another part of the loan is meant for procurement of new containers, which are of strategic importance for the Port of Koper.

The Port of Koper is in the midst of a major investment cycle. In the next four years, it will invest over EUR 230 million, thereby expanding its annual reloading capacities from 950,000 to 1.3 million tons, Wisebroker reports.
