Another unsuccessful sale of 14. oktobar property

The Bankruptcy Supervision Agency has declared the third attempt at a sale of the property of Machinery and Components Industry 14. oktobar Krusevac to be unsuccessful, as there have been no interested buyers.

The company's movable and immovable property was offered at the price of RSD 4.6 billion. The previous two attempts to sell it, in April and June, were also unsuccessful because there were no bidders.

The factory's debts amount to RSD 14.4 billion, of which 70% to Komercijalna Banka, the Tax Administration and the Development Fund.

A total of 1,500 workers left 14. oktobar through two social programs prior to the opening of the bankruptcy proceedings. They claim 24 to 26 unpaid salaries. The factory currently employs, through temporary service agreements, around 150 workers in the arms industry programs.
