"AS" insurance company obtained work permit

National Bank of Serbia has issued work permit to insurance company "AS osiguranje" with the headquarters in Belgrade, which wil deal with all types of non-life insurance.

It is pointed out in the NBS' announcement that the majority owner and founder of new insurance company is "Adriatic Slovenica" from Kopar, which is the second largest insurance company in Slovenia with 233m EUR worth of gross premiums.

NBS has expressed expectation that the entrance of that business group, the third from Slovenia, on the insurance market of Serbia will contribute to quicker development, especially in the segment of voluntary health insurance.
