43 structures removed from Prva Iskra Baric – Chinese able to build new factories

The removal of all structures from the premises of Bazna Hemija in Baric is being completed after two months of intensive work. A total of 43 structures and over 20,000 cubic meters of debris have been removed from a 16 hectare area, and the total value of the project is RSD 89 million.

The conditions are met for the raising of another car component factory, whereas the rest of the industrial complex will be offered to investors.

A part of the location will be offered to the factory Mei Ta, which has proven to be a serious investor, as confirmed by the workers who are undergoing a training program in China. The rest of the parcel will be available for the opening of new factories. It is expected that 500 to 1,000 citizens of Obrenovac, mostly of mechanical and electrical vocation, will find jobs there.

– This is the biggest potential we can offer for the construction of a new factory in September, when we start negotiating – said the president of the municipality of Obrenovac, Miroslav Cuckovic, and emphasized that the priority was to secure a job for every citizen of Obrenovac.

For over 30 years, hazardous waste was located at the premises of the former factory Prva Iskra Bazna Hemija. The cleaning of the terrain and the removal of more than 1,000 tons of the most dangerous waste have been performed without a single incident.
