Volume of stock exchange between Serbia and Germany in 2007 exceeded level from 1990 for the first time

At the yesterday's (January 29, 2008) meeting between the Minister of Trade and Services, Predrag Bubalo, and new German Ambassador, Vilfram Mas, it was concluded that the volume of stock exchange between Serbia and Germany in 2007 exceeded the level from 1990 for the first time.
According to the web site of the Ministry of Trade,
although our export grew by 45% in 2007, deficit in trade with that country exceeded 1 billion USD.
The Ambassador expressed optimistic expectations regarding economic development of Serbia in the following period and he announced its active participation in the stimulation of economic cooperation and investment activities of German companies.
It was estimated that simplification of the visa regime would be one of the most effective steps of EU, with the aim of promotion of international activity of Serbian economy.
