Football player Stefan Savic investing in mini hydropower plants in Montenegro

The renowned Montenegrin football player Stefan Savic is one of the members of the consortium Hydro Bjelojevicka, the top ranked bidder on the list of the tender commission for awarding concessions for the construction of mini hydropower plants on the river Bjelojevicka in Mojkovac.

Savic's share in the consortium is 45%, and his partners are the company Celebic from Podgorica (54%) and Synergy (1%). The bid made by the consortium was the only one at the tender for concessions for the Bjelojevicka watercourse, opened on May 11.

Savic's partner, Synergy from Podgorica, is also the best bidder at the tender for the Ljestanica watercourse, with a 99% share in the consortium Hydro Ljestanica, which also consists of the Czech company Vodni Zdroje.

Best bidders have also been found for similar projects on the Bistrica and the Bukovica. The consortium Bistrica Clean Energy, consisting of BP Hydropower from Podgorica (98%), Normal Company (1%), and Croatia's Eucon Samobor (1%) is the best bidder for the Bistrica watercourse.

The consortium Hydra MNE, consisting of Hydra Podgorica (98%), Ljubljana's IMP (1%) and Igma Energy from Andrijevica (1%) made the sole bid at the tender for the Bukovica watercourse.

The members of the tender commission dismissed as invalid the bid for the Sjevernica watercourse, made by the eponymous consortium, consisting of Nordic Energy Potential and Ekotech Energy from Kolasin, Gauldal Renewable Energy from Norway and TehnoPlus from Podgorica.

The explanation is that the bid was eligible, but that it failed to meet the requirements regarding the control of the fulfillment of criteria, which is why it was dismissed as invalid.
