Magna officially getting land in Odzaci – Jobs for 500 in the new production facility

Members of the Municipal Assembly of Odzaci have adopted a feasibility study on the disposal of the construction land publicly owned by the municipality in favor of the company Magna Seating, for the purpose of expanding production capacities. Based on the agreement, the municipality will let the company, which has been operating there since 2011, use a 1.33-hectare parcel in the industrial zone for the construction of a new factory.

Magna Seating will be given the parcel next to the one where its current factory is located, and the municipality will transfer the right of ownership of the land to the investor without compensation. Before the signing of the agreement, the Government of Serbia should give consent to the municipality for the disposal of land without compensation.

Magna Seating employs around a thousand workers, and an additional 500 will be employed at the new factory, with the help of the state’s incentive funds. Members of the Assembly are unanimous in their attitude that the disposal of land to such an important investor is the least the municipality can do in order to help the company realize its plans for expanding production capacities, thereby creating new jobs.
