SAF selling rocket transport vehicles

The Ministry of Defense has placed a tender for the sale of old non-combat vehicles. On offer are FAP freight vehicles, special ZiL vehicles for transporting and reloading rockets, TAM all-terrain vehicles, a couple of cars and buses, engineering machines, arc welding equipment, a mobile kitchen trailer...

FAP's tank transporters, as Dnevnik reports, were used mostly to transport tanks and other armored vehicles with tracks from barracks to proving grounds, but engineering machines and various types of artillery also used to be loaded on them.

The buyers are also offered special ZiL vehicles. These are general purpose trucks with a load carrying capacity of 3.5 tons, designed for the needs of the Soviet Union. The ordnance of the Yugoslav People's Army and, later, of the Yugoslav Forces and, now, the Serbian Armed Forces has employed these trucks for various purposes, among which were transport and reloading of ground-to-air anti-aircraft rockets Neva and Kub, as CBRN vehicles, mobile workshops, military communications vehicles, reports Dnevnik.

The items are located at Bubanj Potok barracks, Alvadzinica Cacak barracks, MPO 3947 Novi Sad, MPO 3262 Kragujevac, MPO 5032 Knezevac.

The offer expires on July 29, 2016.
