Deputy Prime Minister Zorana Mihajlovic and the mayor of Uzice Tihomir Petkovic signed an agreement on June 27 on financing the reconstruction work on the drinking water factory Petar Antonijevic, in the total value of RSD 400 million.

Mihajlovic said, following the signing of the agreement, that RSD 360 million was procured by the reassortment of the Ministry's budget funds, because this was a priority project.

According to her, the tender for the project will be placed in 7 to 10 days. Mihajlovic invited all companies to place the bids and possibly join together in order to co-operate on the important infrastructural project.

The citizens of Uzice, she said, will be able to use the drinking water as soon as the first phase was over and both phases of the project should be finished by the end of 2017.

The mayor of Uzice Petkovic said that it was the city's obligation to set aside RSD 5 million in 2016 and RSD 35 million in 2017 in order for the project to be realized. He said that this was the most important project in Uzice.

- The final and most important task is the permanent recovery of the Vrutci accumulation where we will work with the Government's aid on a quality project and apply for the money from the EU funds – he added.
