At the Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum, Sberbank signed the Memorandum of Understanding with the Croatian Agrokor group, the largest private owner of retail stores and food manufacturer in South Eastern Europe. The Memorandum was signed by the president of the Executive Board of Sberbank Herman Gref and the president of the Agrokor group Ivica Todoric.

The Memorandum envisions a long-term development of cooperation in the markets in Russia, Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Slovenia. The cooperation comprises investment banking products, mutual sales channels, installation of banking terminals, ATMs etc.

Sberbank and the Agrokor group are long-term partners. In 2014, these two companies signed the EUR 600 million loan agreement, and in 2016, an additional EUR 350 million loan was approved.
