Anonymous buyer pays USD 3.5 million for a lunch with Warren Buffett

The amount of 3,456,789 dollars for a lunch with Buffett matched the 2012 record, when another anonymous buyer offered the identical amount to have lunch with the billionaire. This is the most valuable item sold for humanitarian purposes on eBay, reported the AP.

The auction lasted a week.

Six of the last eight winners at the auction paid more that USD 2 million each for a meal in the company of Buffet, the investor who heads the Berkshire Hathaway conglomerate.

Baffett has so far gathered over USD 20 million for the Glide foundation, and he started offering lunches in his company at the auction after his first wife Suzy, who used to volunteer for the foundation, had turned his attention to their work.
