New production facility opens in Prva Iskra Namenska factory

A new production facility for military needs was opened in the factory for producing explosives Prva Iskra Namenska on Friday, June 3. The event was attended by Prime Minister of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic, who said, following the opening of the facility, that he was pleased that there were visible improvements within the arms industry. He said that potential sales exceeded the production capacities of that industry.

The Prva Iskra – Namenska Proizvodnja company produces and sells explosives for military and civil use. It was founded in 1939, using the existing facilities of the Vistad company, and the production of TNT started in 1946.

It is the only local defense industry company which produces, develops, regenerates and sells both military and civil (commercial) explosives.

Their products are meant for those industries which use explosives, like mining, oil and gas industry, metal processing industry, transportation industry, but also for producers of mines and explosive devices and commercial explosives.
