Spanish interested in Serbian agricultural collectives

Seven companies from Spain, leaders in the field agricultural production technology and equipment will visit Serbia in the coming days to discuss investment opportunities and joint ventures with local businessmen in the field of agriculture.

- Serbia has great potential for agricultural development because of its natural resources. Last year, Spain imported grain worth more than 63 million euros from Serbia. For Serbian producers to become more competitive at the European market, it is necessary to harmonize production regulations and standards and experience of Spain, which is in the world top in the agricultural sector, can be of great benefit - Aitor Mate, head of the Economic -trade department of the Embassy of Spain said for Blic.

He added the purpose of the visit of Spanish companies, which will visit the Agricultural Fair in Novi Sad, is meeting with Serbian producers and presentation of their business, with the possibility of further cooperation.

The Spanish Agency for Trade and Investment ICEK will bring Spanish companies to Serbia.
