"Krusik" from Valjevo is Opening a New Production Facility for Producing Rocket engines - The Investment Value of 9,4 mil EUR

A new production facility, worth 9.4 mil EUR, has been built in the "Krusik" military factory. This is a rocket engine factory, the only such factory in Serbia and the states of the region.

The new "Krusik" production facility, which was financed by one of the leading companies of the Serbian arms industry alone, is situated in the area of a former tool production facility, which was destroyed in the NATO bombing 17 years ago. The new production facility will employ 70 workers.

- The newly built facility, in which the equipment has already been installed, stretches over 2,800 square meters. The factory will enable the "Krusik" rocket program to renew and modernize itself, but also to enable the production of the wholly new rocket engine products, as this will be the only facility of its type in the region - says the manager of "Krusik" Mladen Petkovic, while announcing the grand opening in the following days.

As soon as the tool factory becomes operational, "Krusik" will start building another production facility - a new ammunition factory worth 10 mil EUR.

- The new ammunition factory will produce domestic ammunition, which has so far been imported for the needs of the Serbian arms industry. A 120 new workers should be employed - says Petkovic.

Since the beginning of the year, "Krusik" has hired 565 people in its facilities, so the number of workers adds up to 1,730.

Projectiles for minethrowers and "nora"

The military factory has signed 140 million US dollars worth of business agreements for the next two years, and "Krusik" has been producing a new 107 millimeter minethrower projectile since the beginning of the year, as well as a 155 millimeter artillery shell with a range of 40 kilometers for the "nora" howitzer.
