Sremska Mitrovica-based plant, Mitors, opens
Vucic then outlined the Serbian government helped the plant with EUR 5.3 m to provide vacancies for 300 workers .
Gierlinger said this investment is very important for holding since it is the largest facility within the company . He announced Mitros will market products all around Europe through a network that is already established. According to him, it will supply the Serbian market , also Russian, and pointed out that it is interested in entering Chinese market .
Austrian Gierlinger Holding bought Mitros in January for EUR 800,000.
Mitros was set up in 1950s, went private first and in 2009 it went bankrupt.
In the times of SFRY, Mitros was one of the leaders in slaughter industry and had app. 1250 employees.
