Turks are starting production at Paracin-based Stofara by the end of summer - they are planning to hire 600 people

Turkish Fistel international which a year ago bought Paracin-based Textile plant Branko Krsmanovic - Stofara in bankruptcy, will start production in late summer, legal representative of Turkish company, Aleksandar Nikolic, says.

A hall in Stofara is prepared for production and by the end of summer, production machines should be delivered from Turkey and the employees should attend the training. In the beginning, about 100 people will be hired and the final plan is that headcount in between 300 and 600 employees.

The investment totals EUR 15 m and Turkish Halkbank keeps up with the investment.

Turkish company decided that Stofara should stay in textile industry field and to produce synthetic fibers i.e. nylon thread, 90% of which will be exported. New owners bought 30.000 m2 of production, warehouse and other space at facilities of Stofara and seven hectares of land.
