U.S. aircraft interiors manufacturer interested in opening factory in Uzice

No sooner had the news about accelerated works on the rehabilitation of Ponikve Airport made the citizens of Uzice happy than the representatives of a U.S. manufacturer of seats and interiors for passenger aicraft talked with Mayor Tihomir Petkovic about the possibility of opening their factory on the grounds of the airport complex.
As people at the City Hall underlined, that was the first time to have a serious talk about the future of the valuable property in the vicinity of the largest city in western Serbia.
- I talked with the owner of this company, an American woman of Serbian descent, and it is clear that they are seriously interested in producing aircraft interior parts at Ponikve - says Petkovic.
The American company and its U.S. partners are now in the process of deciding on the possibilities of making a joint investment in Ponikve.
