Tender announced for concessions for construction of small hydroelectric power plants in Montenegro - bids prior to February 1, 2008

Ministry of Economic Development of Montenegro has announced tender for allotment of concessions for construction of small hydroelectric power plants in Montenegro. Concessions will be allotted on 30 years. After that, small hydroelectric power plants will, once again, become property of the state.

The concessions will be given for 43 water currents in the river basins of Piva, Komarnica, Lim, Morača, Ibar, Tara, Ćehotina, Zaslapnica, Zeta, Gračanica and Grahovo Lake.

Contract on concession will be realized in five phases. Bids can be delivered prior to February 1, 2008, and the decision about allotment of concession will be made within 60 days after the bids are opened.
