Given that the Council of the Energy Agency of Serbia on Friday, March 25th approved of a decision made by 33 public suppliers of gas, the 1st of April this year will see the price of natural gas lowered by 12.7% on average for all buyers in Serbia who have the right to public supply and the price for households decreased by 11.8%.
This change is a result of a decrease in the price of imported natural gas.
This will be the fourth reduction of natural gas price since June 2015, after which average rates for these buyers will be lower by over 33% y-o-y.
The right to public supply is enjoyed by all buyers whose annual consumption is below 100,000 cubic meters and whose facilities are all connected to the natural gas distribution system. However, all these buyers, including households, also have the right to choose their supplier in the market.
