The Court of Commerce in Kragujevac made a decision today to commence bankruptcy proceedings against Jagodinska pivara (the Jagodina Brewery), one of the oldest companies in Serbia.
- This decision on bankruptcy was made due to the company's permanent inability to pay off debts, meaning that the bank account of this bankrupt debtor has been blocked for a long time - an expert associate of the court president, Sasa Milosavljevic, told Tanjug news agency.

Bankruptcy proceedings against this malt, beer, yeast and soft drinks factory established in 1852 have been initiated by the Privatization Agency.

The bank account of the Jagodina brewery has been blocked since 2 June 2015 because of a RSD 900 million debt.
