Construction of Serbian long distance pipeline section between Serbia and Romania started

The construction of the Serbian section of the new line between Serbia and Romania, which will go from the transformer station (TS) TS Pancevo to Resica in Romania, has started today and completion and its putting into trial work is expected in late 2017, according to the Public company (PC) Elektromreza Srbije. As stated, GM at EMS Nikola Petrovic said at the ceremony of the beginning of construction of double (interconnection) 400 kilovolt transmission line from TS Pancevo to Romanian border that the value of the project is EUR 24.7 m and is funded by EMS


He outlined that the project of construction of the transmission line that will connect electricity systems of Serbia and Romania is strategically important for JP EMS and that it is a part of the Trans-Balkan corridor for the transmission of electricity .
