Sales of "Aqua Viva" grew by 70% - Knjaz Miloš plans to invest 4.5m EUR in new line for production of non-carbonated water
- The sales of mineral water "Knjaz Miloš" has been increased this year by 10%, while sales of non-carbonated water "Aqua Viva" grew by 70% in highly competitive conditions on the water market in Serbia, which is covered by Aranđelovac-based company "Knjaz Miloš" with 34% - said the deputy general manager of the company Slaven Živić.
According to his words, after two years of losses and difficult period of transformation after privatization, all obligations from the social program have been fulfilled.
About 1,000 workers left the company and that cost 15m EUR, but, at the same time, some new people were hired in some other sectors. They were required for shaping of company in accordance with market trends.
Also, 1.5m EUR was invested in the new unit for water production, new design of "Aqua Viva" and introduction of more than 30 innovations, which resulted in obtaining of HACCP and CA symbol for quality.
- Priorities of the factory are to invest 4.5m EUR in the new line for production of non-carbonated water and to gain position of regional "player" on the market of southeast Europe with nearly 55m people - Živić pointed out.
Although it exports products to more than 20 countries all over the world, "Knjaz Miloš" will, according to the words of Živić, focus on neighboring countries - Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Albania, Macedonia, Croatia, Slovenia, and very ambitiously on Bulgaria and Romania, while "Knjaz" has already made good deal for export of "guarana" to Ukrainian market.
