Pancevo gets largest solar panels in the region

(an illustration) The Pancevo public utility company Grejanje supplies about 3,000 households with sanitary hot water. And although citizens pay high bills for hot water, Grejanje still makes annual losses of about EUR 200,000. However, the announced installation of solar panels will solve this problem.

This will be done under the cross-border project "Banat's Sun for Everybody", which is financed by the EU. After Pancevo, these solar panels will also be installed in the Romanian municipality of Lugos.

Installation of solar panels will start in late summer, and the first results and savings are expected in 2017. The project was initially planned to last for 24 months, but this period is later reduced to one year. Solar panels of the latest generation will be set up on a vast surface area.
