Planinka invests EUR 2.5 million in new Prolom water bottling line
Celebrating the 52nd anniversary of operations, Kursumlija-based Planinka, which manages spa resorts Prolom and Lukovska, Prolom water factory as well as natural phenomenon Devil's Town, presented ambitious plans for the year 2016.
According to Radovan Raicevic, the general manager of this company, Planinka is going to set aside money from its own resources in 2016 and 2017 to modernize and boost the capacity in spa resorts Prolom and Lukovska, and they also plan to open a new Prolom water bottling line.
- Planinka has arranged for new Prolom water bottling line to be delivered to its premises, which will cost the company about EUR 2.5 million. With the installation of the new line, the current daily bottling capacity of 50 million liters will be increased by 13,000 bottles per hour. It will be a significant investment because the medicinal characteristics of Prolom water have been confirmed at eminent clinics in our country as well as at numerous clinics in Russia, so our water is available in pharmacies in Saint Petersburg and Moscow as medicinal - Raicevic points out.
Planinka exports 25% of the Prolom water production, primarily to the markets of former Yugoslav republics, but also to America, Canada, Australia...
As the general manager of this company announced, they are currently working on the construction and equipping of 15 new suites in Prolom spa and a new restaurant in the hotel, as well as on the expansion of wellness center with an indoor and an outdoor swimming pool.
Raicevic added that the plan was also to build a new annex to Jelak Hotel, which would feature 150 beds and a new restaurant with about 300 seats.
Planinka employs about 400 people in spa resorts Prolom and Lukovska and the water bottling plant in Prolom spa, and it is going to hire 15 highly educated workers soon in cooperation with the National Employment Agency.
