Tunneling works at Savinac at Corridor 11 - Deadline for completion of Ljig- Preljina highway August 25

Tunneling works on the right pipe at the Savinac tunnel, 270 m long at Corridor 11, near Takovo, have started today and the prime minister Aleksandar Vucic congratulated employees and opened a bottle of Champaign. Thus, tunneling works have been in progress now for all tunnels at Ljig-Preljina section.

With breaking of the tunnel Savinac, entire section 40 km long was connected. Contracted value of Savinac tunnel is EUR 9,85 m. The Ljig - Preljina section is app. 40 km long and 36 km has already been completed and official deadline for completion of Ljig - Preljine highway is August 25, 2016.

The main contractor at the section is Azvirt from Azerbaijan and the works total EUR 308 m funded through Azerbaijan loan of EUR 300 m while the remaining portion was provided by Serbia. Apart from this company, 101 Serbian firms have been engaged as producers suppliers and associates.
