Johnson Controls invests EUR 20 million in new factory in Macedonia
The U.S. company Johnson Controls has announced that it is going to open its second factory for producing car seat covers in Macedonia. This new manufacturing plant, in which the American giant plans to invest EUR 20 million, will be built in the free zone in Strumica.
An agreement on this new American investment in Macedonia is signed by Johnson Controls Global Manager Willy Van-Looy and Viktor Mizo, the director of the Macedonian Technology Industrial Development Zones Directorate.
Johnson Controls representatives have underlined that they decided to make a new investment in Macedonia after their factory in Stip had achieved excellent results for two consecutive years, citing successful cooperation with the Macedonian government as another reason for this decision.
The factory in Stip employs 1,800 workers, and it has been announced that the new manufacturing plant in Strumica will employ 1,500 people.
