ContiTech Fluid to build new factory in Subotica and double staff
Germany's Continental is going to have one more factory built in Subotica by the year's end, which will double its staff over the next three to four years.
As Tanjug news agency was explained by Zivko Topalovic, the general manager of ContiTech Fluid Srbija that operates as part of the German group Continental, it is the second phase of the investment project in Subotica. The start of construction is expected in late February or early March, depending on the weather, and the factory should be put into operation at the end of this year.
The year 2015 saw the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between this company, representatives of the Serbian government and the City of Subotica, which entails the provision of land and financial incentives.
The German investor operates in Subotica since 2011. It currently employs about 600 workers at the factory for producing components for the automotive and truck industry in Mali Bajmok Industrial Zone.
