British Nutrichem interested in buying Krusevac-based chemical company Zupa

(an illustration) Serbian Defense Minister Bratislav Gasic and Krusevac Mayor Dragi Nestorovic had a meeting on January 14th with the British investor, Nutrichem, which is interested in acquiring the chemical company Zupa, it was announced on the website of the City of Krusevac.
Nutrichem is a global leader in sulphate, pesticide and xanthate sales, exporting products to more than 70 countries. In 2014, copper sulphate this company produced accounted for as much as 10% of the global consumption. An agreement on business and technical cooperation signed between the British company and Zupa Krusevac has ensured more intensive production of blue stone, and significant funds are invested in working capital.

If this acquisition takes place, Nutrichem's plans for the period ending 2019 include investments in the overhaul of existing and the modernization and procurement of new equipment by EU standards, export growth, new hires, as well as potential expansion of production facilities.
