Serbian Development Agency has budget of RSD 8 billion - EUR 30 million provided for new investments

The Serbian Development Agency (RAS) officially started operating 11 January 2016 with a budget for investments totaling RSD 8 billion.

- The official start date of operations is January 11, which is the date when the Agency was entered into the Register in the Court of Commerce. Ongoing preparation phase started months ago, and we took over the projects of SIEPA and NARR in the final phase - said Tamara Jurenic, an adviser to the economy minister and the chairman of the Managing Board of the Serbian Development Agency.

She pointed out that a fusion of the two old agencies was not an option.

The chairman of the RAS Managing Board said that the Serbian Development Agency would have an investment budget totaling RSD 8 billion, about EUR 30 million of which should be used for new investments.

Jurenic stressed that SIEPA and NARR had worked on about 125 projects which were all taken over by the Development Agency of Serbia.
