Companies from the south of Serbia generate foreign exchange of USD 1,7 billion in the first 11 months 2015

Companies from Nis, Pirot and Toplice region generated from January to November 2015 foreign exchange of USD 1,7 billion which is, compared to the same period 2014, which is an increase of USD 138 m or 9% , data of the Regional chamber of commerce Nis show. - Export from the three mentioned regions totaled USD 916 m and compared to previous year it increased by 8%, while import totaled 758 m which is an increase of 11% compared to the previous result - head of the Economic Department at the RCC Nis, Vladan Stanojevic said. According to him, coverage of import with export in the region of Nis, Pirot and Toplice in the first 11 months of last year was 121%, and at the same period in the entire country coverage of import with export totaled 72%.The biggest exporter from the region comprised by RBC Nis is Pirot-based Tigar with 32% in the total export of the region followed by Nis-based Philip Morris, Prokuplje-based Leoni and Aleksinac-based Grammer. They are also listed as the biggest importers. Value of export of the first ten companies from this area makes 82% of total export in the region while value of ten biggest importers make 74% of total import.As Stanojevic outlined, generated foreign exchange of companies from this region makes 5,6% in total foreign exchange turnover of Serbia, 7,2% in export 4,4% in import.
