In Ub, the plant for production of environmental briquettes which operates within Belgrade-based Ladjar transport started operating. By New Year, it will hire 40 employees. Department is located at the hall of former Termoelektro and apart from the existing one, new hall with the packing line on 800 m2 is under construction.

The investor poured over EUR 1,5 m in development and equipping of new plant. The largest part of machines was procured in China, projected capacity is 25 tons of briquettes per hour i.e. 150.000 tons annually while Mine Basin Kolubara will provide raw material.

In the spring, when the final works on the hall with the packing line end, employers planned 50 vacancies more. Final negotiations with a German partner interested in production boost to 300.000 tons of coal briquettes annually have been in progress and if they are successful, mid next year, Ub could get another plant of the same capacity where 90 people more would be hired.

Production start at Ladjar transport was launched by president of Ub municipality, Darko Glisic, with the statement that the plant will bring entire Tamnava back to life.
