Regulation on compensation for travel expenses abroad which the Government of Serbia made, caused dissatisfaction of economy sector. Namely, the government wanted to cut travel costs for its officers and thus private owners who pay legal i.e. higher travel expenses faced problem since they have to pay a tax of 10% for difference.

To solve the problem, members should soon adopt the Law on income of citizens. It would govern that non-taxable loan for daily allowance for a trip abroad is increased from EUR 15 to 50 but only for private sector, Novosti announce.

The Ministry of Finance which proposed changes says for Blic that the law will clarify unclear situation which referred to companies but that regulation remains effective for governmental officials.
