Belgrade's Chief City Planner Milutin Folic announced at the Balkan Architecture Biennale on Friday that the City of Belgrade was planning to organize several big architectural and urban design competitions in the following period, Beoinfo reports.
– A gallery in the Kosancicev Venac neighborhood should be located at the bottom of Kralja Petra Street to connect this neighborhood with Karadjordjeva Street. The plan is to make that possible by using the existing underground passages - said Folic.
Folic noted that the "second important competition is for the design of the Belgrade Philharmonic, which is planned to be built in the location of former Revolution Museum, next to the SIV building, where only the foundations for this never-completed museum still stand. In parallel with these two architectural design competitions, there will also be five architectural and urban design competitions for Block 18, Makis field, the zone between Hippodrome and the Sava River, and Ada Huja".
