Lidl starts construction of retail facility in Smederevo - Late March 2016 to see opening

German trading chain Lidl started construction of the first retail facility in Serbia, the company confirmed for Retail Serbia business portal

- Our company is at the stage of expansion and land purchase for future retail outlets. We can confirm we started construction of the first retail facility (test branch office) in Smederevo whose completion can be expected in March 2016 – Lidl Srbija communicated.

The company also announced that next year it will start constructing a larger number of shops as well as logistics center in Serbia.
