"Siemens" wants to secure University Games in Belgrade
- Company "Siemens" will take part in
the tender for installation of security system for University Games 2009 in
Belgrade - Development
Manager of "Siemens" in Serbia, Ana Radonjić, announced.
Talking to the press in Athens, she expressed belief that "Siemens" would not have serious competition, but she also pointed
out that the appearance of that company would depend on the tender terms and
scope of the project, which should be discussed by the Executive Board of the
University Games Belgrade on October 4.
As a recommendation why "Siemens" should
be entrusted installation of integrated security systems C4I in Belgrade, she
said that that company did the excellent job at the Olympics in Athens 2004 and
Asian Games in Doha in 2006.
The system that was used at these sports manifestations represents the most sophisticated solution for public security, outside the frame of application for needs of national defense.
Ana Radonjić reminded that the International Olympic Committee and International University Sports Federation, after the terrorist assaults on New York, Madrid and London, had introduced the strict concept for sports manifestations - C4I (Command, Control, Communication, Computing & Information).
According to the words of Radonjić, it will take between 16 and 18 months for C4I system to be established in Belgrade, and every delay increases expenses and reduces functionality of the system.
