Milenkovic told Beta news agency that E-reciklaza had exported 30 tonnes of Freon gas and about 30 tonnes of condensers to Germany as well as 800 tonnes of lead glass to the Netherlands as the products of electronic and electrical waste recycling in 2015.
He stressed that the recycling industry in Serbia had a big development potential, but the problem lied in the fact that the companies recycling hazardous waste were still getting their compensation approximately 15 months after starting working on the project.
According to him, the costs of collecting and recyling electrical and electronic waste are extremely big because E-reciklaza alone has about 1,500 permanent employees in the waste collection and recycling chain.
Milenkovic announced that E-reciklaza would enter the recyling market the next year not only as a company which collects and recycles electrical and electronic waste, but also as a manufacturer of recycling machines and spare parts for these machines.
