Italy's Technostrutture builds production plant in Zrenjanin - Planned investment valued at EUR 6 million
(Ecka-Jugoistok Industrial Zone)
Italian steel structure manufacturer Technostrutture is building a production plant in the industrial zone Ecka-Jugoistok in Zrenjanin and has already made an initial investment of EUR 3.5 million.
While touring the building site on Tuesday, Technostrutture's owner and CEO Guiseppe Verna told the press that they intended to invest a total of EUR 6 million in the new facility.
He added that the construction of production plant in that town did not mean that the production would be relocated from Italy, but only expanded to satisfy the needs of the European market.
Verna noted that the company was producing steel structures for the construction of bridges, airports, big shopping centers and industrial facilities, adding that they were cooperating with large multinationals which worked on construction projects all around the world.
As he stressed, 40 people will be trained in the first phase, 25 of whom will get a job right away, whereas the rest will be hired in the second phase of construction.
- Most of the production is carried out on software-controlled machines, which breeds a need for hiring people with adequate qualifications whom we will help acquire the knowledge that is necessary to develop production - Verna added.
Zrenjanin Mayor Cedomir Janjic assessed that the construction of new production plants was a good news for the citizens of Zrenjanin, pointing out that Technostrutture was the third Italian investor to come to operate in an industrial zone in that town.
This company signed an agreement to purchase building land in the industrial zone Jugoistok in May 2015, when its plan to have a production facility of about 4,000 square meters built on that land was announced as well.
The deadline to finish the construction of this facility is March 2016.
